hit
20 October 2006

People have been asking me about the truth of my football enthusiasm. Some said, "Eh, ang arte arte mo, naglalaro ka?" Some exclaimed the usual, "Di nga?" Followed by, "Eh ang init init nun ah, vigorous pa." Hahaha. Well, YES, I'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR FOOTBALL. It does not really speak of me but here I am, on Team A of the College of Science. Hoorah!

Last wednesday, I got hit on the face. It was my first. I knew I got hit but nothing was hurting at that split moment, but I was falling on the ground. I was even wondering why would I fall since nobody pushed me. Then, when I landed butt down on the grass, the pain of my face shot right up my whole head. I cried. Then, I laughed. Hahaha. It was really stupid and painful at the same time.

But I had to stand up again and play.

:'(
19 October 2006

I miss my friend. Terribly.

It's funny that I only remember him when I'm feeling blue. When I'm sad and alone, his image is the very first thing that comes into my mind. Wah. I miss him sooo much. I lost the only person who would listen and understand the deepest scars that damage my heart. I lost contact with the only person who made me feel so good about myself. He, who would sincerely prefer my company over the most attractive of girls. He, who cares so much about me that he'd be so straightforward to tell me the truth. He, who isn't afraid to put pain in my heart just to make me see my faults and false hopes. I miss him so bad. Unfortunately, we parted ways and I can't gather enough guts to ask him to come back.

I miss you so bad. Come and get me, I'm hurting. Only you could alleviate this pain. Come back and stay. I need you.

i'm a fan
04 October 2006

I had always been a fan of the Ateneo Blue Eagles. It started with Wesley Gonzales, then LA Tenorio and Larry Fonacier.

Now, I'm rooting solely for John Christopher "JC" Intal!

I've asked every possible person to get his autograph for me, no one tried. Then, on a busy Monday afternoon, I saw him. I grew ecstatic and uncontrollable. This is my chance. I rushed up to him and said, "JC, pwedeng pa-sign! (pointing to my "GO UST" hat) Then, he shyly declined and said, "Nagugutom na ko eh." And I was sad, only to find out that who in this freaking world would sign on something that yells for his/her opponent??? Stupid, Aileen. Stupid. My only chance, and I blew it. Hahaha. Petty but if you're a fan, it's the most stupid thing you could possibly do. Anyway, I didn't get his autograph but seeing him in flesh is more than enough!

We may have beaten them. He may have cried out of failure and shame but I'll always be his fan!!!

hurrah

UST TIGERS CHAMPS!!!

I can't believe it. Hahaha!

I did everything to get that P20 ticket. Sunday morning, I met up with Kim and her sister, Kaye at Araneta, by 11am, tickets were sold out. So, we headed for UST and fortunately, at 3pm, I got a hold of my ticket. Relieved. The next day, again, I met up with Kim, 6:30 am and got a hold of another ticket at 8am. The extra tickets are for our other friends. Anyway, I got a report in Literature at 8am. Whoohoo! My report went fine, panthomime here and there. I sighed when Ma'am Biavati finally said, "Very good!"

Fast forward > The game was scheduled that afternoon. With my friends, we headed for Araneta. Some failed to get tickets and it all boiled down to 7 people: Kuya JP, Kim, Ponchie, Lesli, Hersh, Bea and me.

The game was heart-breaking, pulse-racing and throat-drying. :) It was crushing and enjoying to see JC Intal shoot a 3-pointer. It was thrilling to see him dunk! It was scary to watch him, together with Macky Escalona, make a 5-point edge against the tigers at the end of the 1st half. I was ambivalent, unsure of which team I'm cheering for but in the latter part, I was a true gold Thomasian in yellow. In the 2nd part, I can't breathe freely anymore. Hahaha. I was tensed and nervous. Anxiety crept all over me. Dylan shoots then JC answer back with another 2 points. It was a battle and at first, it seemed eternal. The scores were always tied. The buzzer went off with a tie, so there's over-time. Kimmie and I, and probably the whole Thomasian and Atenean community, were in contact with God. Everyone was saying their own prayers.

Here's my prayer: Lord, all of these shouts, all of the players' hardwork, all of our difficulties to get here, all of the peoples' smiles and cheers are all for your glory. Every single thing is all for you! May your will be done and may your will be the victory of UST! May your will be the victory of UST!!!

Then, we won! TIGERS BEAT THE EAGLES. UST BEAT ATENEO.

The other side of me was crushed. It's hard to see JC on his knees, in tears. Lost in a world he thought he would have conquered. As a fan, my heart felt heavy.

But, I remembered I'm a Thomasian! I began shouting for our players. They were great, they did all their best. I believe they really deserve the title of a Champion!

ANIMO TIGERS BEAT ATENEO, BEAT ATENEO!!!
